Due to the Covid -19 pandemic, the first matches at the new home of Brentford FC were sadly played in front of empty seats. However this was more than made up for with a glorious opening home game to the 2021-22 season against Arsenal. This picture depicts that glorious and atmospheric evening game as the newly-promoted Bees were victorious against their London rivals.
As with the Griffin Park painting, I was keen to soak up some of the atmosphere before completing the picture. It includes the surrounding area including local pubs, part of the riverside by Kew Bridge, the steam museum, tower block, train tracks, motorway and of course a bus stop.
Prints are available in two sizes, both printed on heavyweight 308gsm Hahnemuhle Fine Art paper. Each print is signed by the artist and stamped on the back.
