The Forester pub is located in Ealing, on the border of West Ealing and Northfields. It is a lively, welcoming pub, with two bars, one traditionally for larger groups, meals and access to the garden; the other often booked for events.
It happens to be my local, so I know it well. When I first moved to the area it was a bit of a 'dive'. Only one bar was open and there were frequently no more than a handful of locals inside. It had sticky tabletops and a jukebox, and a 'home-made' children's climbing frame in the garden which would not pass any health and safety tests today.
The pub had a huge refurbishment. The excellent Thai restaurant remained, and the entire pub was open for business. It still attracts film crews and you will see the interior in many TV shows and adverts. It was the 'local' for the team from 'New Tricks' (Denis Waterman was often outside having a fag), and more recently David Schwimmer had a fight inside (in a TV comedy).
There are two prints available: Day and Night. This one features the atmosphere from the World Cup in 2018 when the Forester garden became one of the 'go-to' places for families to watch England progress the furthest they ever had for all the under-28 year-olds watching. The picture also features the 2012 street party on Seaford Road for the Queen's Jubilee.
All prints are available in two sizes and are archival giclée prints on luxurious 300gsm Hahnemühle Fine Art paper. Each one is signed by the artist.
